Since 1992, the Mid-West Arts Council has supported the pursuit and development of the creative arts in the rural municipalities of Blanshard, Hamiota, Miniota and Woodworth. With municipal amalgamation, MWAC currently serves the Hamiota Municipality, RM of Oakview, southern portion of Prairie View Municipality (including Miniota and area), and eastern portion of Wallace-Woodworth (including Kenton and Harding areas.)
