Land Acknowledgement

The Mid-West Arts Council acknowledges that it carries out its work on the land of Indigenous nations throughout Manitoba. Our office is located on Treaty 2 territory and that the land on which we gather is the traditional territory of Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Assiniboine, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and the homeland of the Métis Nation.

We offer our respect and commitment to the Treaties that were made on these territories, we acknowledge the past, and we dedicate ourselves to move forward in partnership with Indigenous communities in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration.
